Rachel Constantine, Fine Artist

Rachel ConstantineÕs painting style can be described as the classical realist tradition infused with elements of impressionism. Seeking qualities of repose, balance and visual harmony in her compositions, her diverse subject matter is unified by her commitment to depicting truth as defined by the fall of light.

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Constantine holds a certificate in painting from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. She is the recipient of numerous awards, including the American ArtistsÕ Professional League Award for Traditional Realism from the Allied Artists of America in NYC, an Honorable Mention at the Woodmere MuseumÕs 65th Annual Juried Exhibition, and the Linda Lee Alter Award for excellence in Figure Painting from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. Recent exhibitions include her second appearance at the Woodmere Art Museum, and a showing of new paintings in the Artworks Gallery in the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
